Dr. John Kamran Nia is a fellowship trained practicing micrographic and cosmetic surgeon. His training background is a blend of surgical training in reconstructive surgery, facial and oculoplastic surgery with an emphasis on cosmetic surgery.
A native New Yorker, Dr. Nia graduated with honors from an accelerated 7- year program at the City University of New York where he combined undergraduate studies with his medical degree. He continued his training as an intern at Lenox Hill Hospital before completing his dermatology residency at Mount Sinai, where he was selected as chief resident.
Dr. Nia was fellowship-trained at Clinic 5C under Dr. Cameron Chesnut. His fellowship featured an integration of facial plastic surgery, oculoplastic surgery, and skin cancer reconstruction. Through this integration, Dr. John Nia has become a well-rounded and facial reconstructive and cosmetic surgeon with an expertise in surgical skin cancer treatment, plastic reconstruction, cosmetic surgery, as well as laser and aesthetic medicine.
