Dr. Ryan C. Kelm was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and grew up in Oklahoma. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Oklahoma. He earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, graduating with honors and being inducted into the prestigious AOA Honor Society.
During medical school, Dr. Kelm pursued a pre-doctoral clinical research fellowship at Northwestern's Feinberg School of Medicine in the Department of Dermatology. Here, he contributed to numerous clinical trials, published extensively in peer-reviewed academic journals, and presented his findings at national conferences. He completed his residency at Rush University Medical Center, where he authored articles and book chapters on cosmetic and laser medicine.
To further specialize in laser medicine and innovation, Dr. Kelm completed a fellowship at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital and The Wellman Center for Photomedicine under the mentorship of Dr. Mat Avram and Dr. Rox Anderson. Driven by a passion for entrepreneurship and innovation, he continues to build on his research initiated in Boston and currently works at a start-up focused on precision drug delivery via novel needle and needle-free devices.
Dr. Kelm has a deep interest in regenerative and longevity medicine, aiming to incorporate these principles into his practice. His current research focuses on cellular senescence and cellular reprogramming to address skin aging for aesthetic applications. In pursuit of providing comprehensive aesthetic services, Dr. Kelm is furthering his training with a facial cosmetic surgery fellowship at Clinic5C.
