Hyaluronidase is an enzyme that dissolves hyaluronic acid, the component of the most popular and most commonly used fillers on the market. This enzyme makes those fillers fully reversible, which is a very attractive aspect of this family of fillers.
Hyaluronidase can be used to adjust and sculpt pre-existing filler, to erase filler that has been placed in a dissatisfying way, or as a rescue medication when there are issues during filler placement.
Dr. Chesnut is hands-down and without question the expert and most referred to physician in the area for filler dissolution. Other injectors very commonly send him patients to fix mistakes, rescue during emergencies, and improve results.
