The eyes have it series, post 74: complex lower eyelid revolumization focused on the outside edge of the eye. As we look at the “tear trough“ we are assessing at the degree of volume loss and how much gravitational descent the fat pads from the cheek that live over the orbital rim have created. When we see hollowness at the outside edge of the eye, we know that that aging change and subsequent correction have become much more involved.
