- MOHS & Reconstruction Surgery
Nasal tip reconstruction. After the removal of a basal cell carcinoma on the tip of his nose with Mohs micrographic surgery, this very nice man’s nose was reconstructed using a paramedian forehead flap. Mohs micrographic surgery allows precise tumor removal with the highest cure rates while leaving all normal skin behind, allowing a reconstruction like this to be as minimal as possible. The history of the paramedian forehead flap is quite interesting, dating back hundreds of years BC.
