- MOHS & Reconstruction Surgery
Nasal reconstruction after Mohs surgery for infiltrating tumor. The reconstructive side of my practice is incredibly rewarding. I get to take all of the baseline knowledge of tissue dynamics, wound healing and aesthetics and apply it to a completely different situation every single time, quite the mix of right brain left brain! This man had a tumor that invaded all the way through his nose, and when you look closely you can see the hole into his nasal cavity. After the tumor was fully removed with Mohs surgery, he was reconstructed with a paramedian forehead flap and cartilage graft that was taken from his ear cartilage to support his nasal structure.
