- MOHS & Reconstruction Surgery
Reconstruction after removal of a deep tumor down to bone. This kind man had a squamous cell carcinoma removed with Mohs micrographic surgery that extended to bone - in the photo my surgeon friends will appreciate visible layers of anatomy through the depth.
Borrowing some inspiration from cosmetic surgery, a mid-facelift style flap was utilized to mobilize and elevate soft tissues throughout all of the layers with the goal of restoration of the normal projection of this region, which is exceptionally important! My goal is always to leave no trace, and I think that mission was accomplished here!
